Velanix Health Privacy Policy
1. Who we are. Velanix Health Ltd (company number 17314741) operates velanixhealth.co.uk and supplies at-home blood testing kits that are analysed by our laboratory partner. We are the “data controller” for the personal information described here. You can contact us at velanixhealth@gmail.com.
2. The information we collect. Name, contact details, delivery address, and payment information; account and order history; the fact that you have purchased a specific health test; and health information, including your blood sample, the test results produced by our laboratory partner, and any health details you provide needed to interpret your test.
3. Special category (health) data. Information about your health is “special category data” under the UK GDPR and receives extra protection. Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is performance of our contract with you, and our condition for processing your health data is your explicit consent, which you give at checkout. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us — though this will not affect processing already carried out, and we may be unable to provide the test.
4. Who we share it with. Our accredited laboratory partner, which analyses your sample; our courier/postal partner for delivery and sample return; our payment processor; and IT/hosting providers (including Shopify, which processes data on our behalf). We do not sell your data.
5. How long we keep it. We keep your order and account records for 6 years to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. We keep your test results securely so you can access them, then delete or anonymise your data.
6. Where your data is processed. Your data is processed in the UK.
7. Your rights. You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to rectification, to erasure, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email velanixhealth@gmail.com. We will respond within one calendar month.
8. Complaints. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
9. Cookies. We use cookies as described in our cookie banner and settings. You can change your preferences at any time via “Cookie preferences” in our footer.
